A recent report from LinkedIn's Jobs on The Rise 2021 reported a major shift in the growth of skill demands for workers in South East Asia due to the global pandemic.
The report noted that the top roles for specialized engineering, which are driven by growth in manufacturing, trade, and population growth were mechanical engineer, manufacturing engineer, and engineering lead team.

The report concluded that the increase in demand for digital and software skills was in tandem with the rise of roles that can be conducted remotely. Professionals with digital skills in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Structural Engineering will find themselves at an advantage in seeking employment opportunities.
